About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Vacuum Truck Driver / Lead Hand specializing in Roof Vacuuming. This role involves operating heavy-duty vacuum equipment to perform roof cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent time management, and experience with facilities maintenance or custodial work. As a lead hand, you will oversee team operations, coordinate tasks, and ensure high standards of service delivery. Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum trucks and related power tools to perform roof vacuuming and cleaning services efficiently and safely.
- Lead and supervise team members during roof vacuuming projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Use hand tools and custodial equipment for maintenance tasks around facilities as needed.
- Perform facilities maintenance duties including cleaning, minor repairs, and equipment inspections.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Complete required paperwork, logs, and job reports.
- Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and routine maintenance.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within scheduled deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure heavy lifting is performed safely when handling equipment or materials related to roof vacuuming tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work sites, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures
- Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Restricted A or AZ) with a clean driving record
- Previous vacuum truck operation experience is an asset.
- Experience in roofing, industrial cleaning, or construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting with clients.
