Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of dental procedures, and proficiency with dental software systems. This role involves supervising dental assisting staff, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and providing exceptional patient care. Candidates with expertise in Epic, Dentrix, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, and CAD are highly preferred. The Lead Registered Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor dental assisting staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to clinical protocols
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to patient appointments
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely appointment scheduling as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Curve software systems
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and preventive dentistry practices
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including infection control standards
- Support the implementation of CAD technology for restorative procedures
- Assist in training new staff members on clinical procedures and software usage
Requirements
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification
- Ortho Module Certification is considered a strong asset
- Proven experience in dental assisting with a strong background in orthodontics and pediatrics preferred
- Proficiency with Epic, Dentrix, and CAD systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a dental practice is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
