The Western Canada Regional Council is currently recruiting skilled concrete tradespeople for upcoming work in Victoria, BC.
We are looking for experienced, reliable tradespeople who take pride in their work and have a strong background in concrete construction.
We are looking for experienced Concrete Forpersons with extensive concrete construction experience.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in concrete construction and formwork
- Proven experience leading and supervising concrete crews
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming, reinforcing, placing, and related construction activities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily site activities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of construction safety requirements
- Ability to maintain productivity, quality, and schedule requirements
Certified Rigger – Concrete Tower Experience
We are seeking a certified Rigger with experience working on concrete tower construction.
Requirements:
- Valid and recognized rigging certification
- Extensive rigging experience in a construction environment
- Concrete tower experience is strongly preferred
- Experience working with cranes, heavy lifts, and concrete-related materials
- Strong knowledge of safe rigging and lifting procedures
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Experienced Layout Person
We are also seeking an experienced construction layout person with a strong concrete background.
Requirements:
- Previous construction layout experience
- Concrete/formwork experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience with elevations, benchmarks, dimensions, and setting lines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with site supervision
Requirements:
- Extensive concrete formwork experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience with forming, stripping, assembling, and installing concrete forms
- Knowledge of concrete construction methods and site safety
- Ability to work productively as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
Concrete Carpenter Apprentices
We are also accepting applications from Concrete Carpenter Apprentices at various levels.
