Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Diver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will perform underwater inspections, repairs, construction, and maintenance projects across a variety of marine and industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all diving operations, supporting infrastructure development, restoration, and specialized underwater tasks. Responsibilities
- Conduct underwater inspections of structures such as bridges, piers, docks, pipelines, and marine facilities using advanced diving techniques.
- Perform underwater repairs including welding, concrete patching, caulking, and structural reinforcement to maintain safety and integrity.
- Assist with the installation of marine equipment, cabinetry, flooring, tile work, electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and masonry tasks as required.
- Operate heavy equipment and underwater tools safely to facilitate construction or restoration projects.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans and specifications.
- Support construction estimating efforts by assessing project scope and resource requirements for underwater tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations and diving protocols at all times during operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial diving with relevant certifications such as commercial diving license or equivalent credentials.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to marine construction projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Construction experience across multiple trades including carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and restoration is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project planning is a plus.
- Ability to work in challenging underwater environments while maintaining safety and precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
