The Role: Retail Support & Integration Specialist (14 month contract)

Reporting to the Director, Retail Support, the Retail Support & Integration Specialist is responsible for support of retail stores including the coordination with inter-departmental stakeholders in the creation and organization of ‘store-ready’ communications with the goal of providing stores clear guidelines for execution.

Principal Responsibilities:
Retail Store Support

Maintains store online database and regional breakouts
Maintains two-way communications between stores and Retail Store Support via email
Provides support for the successful execution of IT initiatives, pilots and projects
Coordinate with NSO on all new store openings

Store Integration Support

Responsible for the authoring and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Creates, edits, formats and updates various Operations SOP’s, manuals, and directional communication vehicles in conjunction with other operations team members
Creates various Operations forms required to accompany SOP’s (auditing, ordering supplies etc.)
Participates on various project teams for purpose of gathering data for SOP development or revision as well as assessing communications needs to stores
Responsible for the Smart Fundamental Program
Online Compliantia Program
Reporting and analysis
Audit review and updates
Coordinate with Retail Support Integration Managers to create store ready programs


Approves store communications from business units and provides direction on distribution of these types of communication
Acts as gatekeeper for all communications requests to the stores regarding program and project implementations
Development of playbooks and newsletters by coordinating the efforts and communications needs of various department stakeholders
Works with the Operations Team, other department stakeholders and Web Designer to ensure that the Store Information Portal remains current, with up-to-date information.
Ensures that documentation is loaded on the Store Portal as per Operations standards
Reviews and proofreads documents for consistency of document format
Coordinates all documents and manuals for printing, proofing, and obtaining quotes from vendors
Assists in developing communication strategies for internal stakeholders


Providing tactical support in the delivery of multi-day national conferences and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd

Post secondary education in Business, Communications, English or relevant discipline
3-5 years’ experience retail store experience and/ retail corporate support
Commitment to superior customer service
Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment requiring minimal supervision
Detail oriented, with the ability to conceptualize and document processes
Exceptional written communication skills
Advanced document editing and formatting is essential
Expert in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat & InDesign
Self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Web experience considered an asset
Prior experience managing a documentation database
