Alexander Safety and Environmental currently has openings to join our team out of our LEDUC Alberta office.
Hydro Vac Operators will be responsible for operating units in performing excavation activities associated with utility, construction, pipeline, and plant / terminal work. Successful candidates should be hardworking, self- motivated and enthusiastic team players, willing and ready to work with all personalities. Candidates must bring a positive work culture and have a priority for safety.

Responsibilities
· The ability to operate a Hydrovac in a safe and professional manner.
· Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather conditions.
· Completion of daily documents, such as, work orders, logbooks, field level hazard assessments, pre/post trip inspections.
· Complete daily maintenance and general housekeeping on assigned unit.
· Follow instructions assigned by supervisor.
· Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
· Able to accept after hour calls in emergency situations.
· Ensure client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service.
· Follow company HSE policies and procedures.
· Mentor and teach less experienced crew members on the proper techniques and skills to be used.
· Must be willing to support in other areas of Alexander Safety service offerings when not operating a Hydrovac.
Qualifications
· 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Hydrovac Operator.
· Valid class 1 or 3 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
· Valid industry safety tickets, including but not limited to: H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level 2, CSTS 2020, CSO, WHMIS, TDG and Fall Arrest.
· Willingness to work overtime, weekends, out of town and emergency callouts as required.
· Reliability and consistent attendance are imperative to this position.
· Ability to follow direction with minimal supervision.
· A reliable means of transportation is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00-$39.00 per hour
