Event Staff
Light House Arts Center is located in the heart of downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our state-of-the-art venue is the perfect choice for concerts, performances, and gatherings of all kinds.
We are now inviting applications to be a part of our Event Staff team
Hourly Wage: $18/ Hour
Role Responsibilities:
The Event Staff is responsible for performing assigned tasks related to the overall setup and teardown of Light House Art Centre events, coat check, ushering, box office and general duties during the event.
Requirements:
- Have a great attitude and a willingness to work in a fast paced and exciting industry.
- Work with team members to perform room setups and teardowns.
- Follow departmental standards, job procedures to ensure the safety of oneself, team members, and clients.
- Ability to work on short notice.
Education & Experience:
- Grade 12 preferred (other education and experience will be considered).
- Experience in a similar role is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Reaching, bending, kneeling and twisting on a regular basis while performing various tasks.
- Stacking and unstacking chairs, tables, staging, and other equipment.
- Pushing and pulling carts with chairs, tables, staging and equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs
- Required to work backshift and extended shifts of 10-12 hours.
