About the Role
Our client is seeking experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers experienced in hauling projects to join their Edmonton team.
Role Description
You will have the opportunity to operate a class one truck, performing hauls for a variety of projects in the local area. You would be relied on to operate equipment safely and efficiently, transporting materials for heavy industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive class one trucks to job sites, haul materials according to project requirements and daily tasks
- Conduct pre-trip safety and maintenance inspections on equipment
- Attend toolbox and safety meetings as required
- Prepare truck to adhere to job safety requirements
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition, report and/or log any maintain concerns or mechanical work needed
- Communicate with project teams on site, utilizing radios, hand signals, and eye contract
- Assist with general project tasks as needed
Skills and Requirements
- Valid class one driver's license and experience in heavy hauling
- Commitment to safety and maintenance standards
- Ability to manage your own priorities, proactivity, and ability to follow directions
- Problem solving skills, ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
- Reliability and punctuality
- Positive attitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team and work collaboratively with other people
