Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow proper food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service expectations
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to special dietary requests when necessary
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
