What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will lead Strategy & Business Architecture of Operations within RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS). You will operate as a senior trusted advisor in developing, driving and building a solid view of capability and maturity for I&TS Operations, driving out strong collective roadmaps to increase maturity and quality via technology, automation and process reengineering. You will lead a team with significant responsibility and must demonstrate a high degree of collaboration with product, technology, Client Experience and delivery teams in specific domains such as tax, reconciliation, payments, invoicing, corporate actions, fund accounting, shareholder services, transaction management and other key areas across all regions as I&TS continues to transform. You will be responsible of bringing the best of the enterprise and RBC to the solution.
Additionally, you will play a key role in leading the build out of business architecture and transformation blueprints which will bring a solid and robust target state framework for all future modernization and change programs to build and delivery within. The framework will be used within a broader I&TS business architecture framework and in partnership with top leaders representing peer portfolios.
What will you do?
Act as owner and producer of the Business Architecture Roadmap for I&TS Operations
Provide strong communication across the business and technical community to detail the business architectural direction
Develop other business architects
Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC
Provide insight for talent development and mentoring to key high potential individuals
Be a strong change agent, balancing future vision with collaborative style to achieve optimal results
What do you need to succeed?
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience.
15+ years of experience leading architecture teams, with expert knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, design, integration, optimization
Experience of both Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture with a record of both program and delivery outcomes based on their architectures
Expert knowledge of Financial Services, particularly investor services and banking systems
Proven effective leadership to drive and facilitate transformation in a large and complex global organization, with an ability to influence decision making and facilitate teams with multiple stakeholders at all levels in the organization as well as knowledge of change management discipline and best practices.
Solid experience operating in a complex operational and technical environment
Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with global areas
Ability to manage multiple priorities and aggressive deliverables and take a leadership role in moving initiatives forward and removing obstacles.
Excellent written and verbal communication as well as strong executive presentation skills.
Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills
