Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows Active Directory Administrator to support Active Directory upgrade and migration initiatives. The role involves planning, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and validation of AD and DNS environments, along with server rebuilds, domain controller promotions, and infrastructure readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) and DNS during upgrade activities
Identify and resolve Active Directory replication issues
Participate in technology solution design and Agile/Scrum project meetings
Create and verify technical documentation, ensuring all issues and resolutions are properly documented
Rebuild servers using customized TD images via MDT
Perform hardware and Windows OS troubleshooting
Conduct server pre-requisite checks and ensure all required tools are ready for domain controller promotion
Execute and analyze port query scripts
Support migration of AD servers to Windows Server 2019 R2
Run scripts to gather domain controller data and prepare reports based on project requirements
Perform path management for staging servers
Validate and verify tools and services on domain controllers
Identify, resolve, and escalate issues occurring during change implementation
Essential Skills
Strong expertise in:
Active Directory (AD) & DNS (Planning, Configuration, Troubleshooting)
AD Replication troubleshooting
Windows Server environments
Experience with:
MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) server builds
Domain Controller promotion processes
Script execution and analysis (port query, reporting scripts)
Knowledge of:
AD migration processes (to Windows Server 2019 R2)
Server staging, validation, and readiness activities
Ability to:
Work within Agile/Scrum teams
Maintain thorough documentation and reporting
Troubleshoot across hardware and OS layers
