Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen and bakery operations, ensure food quality, and lead a team of culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a solid understanding of food safety standards. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of service and efficiency within our restaurant environment, fostering a positive team atmosphere, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food and bakery preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
- Assist in team management activities including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize workflow and service delivery
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Serve as a role model for hospitality excellence, demonstrating professionalism and leadership
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Experience in restaurant management or team leadership within the food industry
- Experience in baking and pastry making is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
- Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, training, and motivating staff
