We seek a Manager with an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certificate who values outdoor, nature-based learning. This full-time role involves leading our program and working directly with children aged 30 months to 5 years, requiring strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Hourly rate starts at $24-$27 + $6 per hour Wage Enhancement
Responsibilities:
Day to day:
- Care for and supervise children aged 30 months to 5 years, ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
- Plan and lead creative, age-appropriate activities that support children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, resolving conflicts and ensuring clear communication.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment while also working independently when needed.

Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center to ensure smooth functioning and quality service for children and families.
- Supervise, lead, and support staff, including performance evaluations, and onboarding for new team members.
- Coordinate staff scheduling to maintain required teacher-child ratios
- Plan and manage program changes, new registrations, and ensure ongoing licensing compliance.
- Maintain an organized inventory of supplies, ensuring they are restocked regularly to support daily operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Directors to support center operations.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate the ECE Registry
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with children aged 30 months to 5 years
- Strong familiarity with childcare licensing requirements
- Valid First Aid in Child Care certificate or equivalent
- Criminal Record Check

Additional Notes:
- Candidates must be available to work in Pitt Meadows and have reliable access to a vehicle for transportation.
- Candidates available to work Monday to Friday shifts between 7:00AM and 5:30PM
- Candidates must have a valid Early Childhood Educator license to practice and have prior experience as a lead teacher or supervisor
