SparkNest Consultants is hiring a Behaviour Interventionist to provide in-home support to autistic children and families in Langley. This role is ideal for someone studying or experienced in psychology, education, ABA, or child development who wants flexible hours and meaningful clinical experience.
Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and motivated Behaviour Interventionist to provide direct in-home and community-based support to children and youth. The Behaviour Interventionist will work under clinical supervision and follow individualized behaviour support plans designed to build communication, daily living, social, play, and self-regulation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 behavioural support in home and community settings
- Implement individualized goals and strategies under supervision
- Support skill development in communication, behaviour regulation, social interaction, play, and independence
- Collect accurate session data and complete progress notes on time
- Collaborate respectfully with caregivers and the clinical team
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical practice
- Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development
- Travel to client homes within Lower Mainland communities
Required Qualifications
- Completion of or current enrollment in post-secondary coursework in psychology, education, behaviour analysis, child and youth care, social work, or a related field
- Experience working with children, youth, or neurodivergent individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow behaviour plans and receive feedback constructively
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Valid BC driver’s licence or dependable transportation
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including work with vulnerable persons
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting autistic children or youth
- Coursework in ABA or behaviour intervention
- Experience with data collection and session documentation
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
