Overview
Dynamic Millwrights is a full-service company located in Listowel, Ontario, with extensive expertise in agricultural, commercial, food and industrial millwrighting and fabrication. We are seeking a skilled Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines and ensuring precision in the production process. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials while adhering to safety protocols. The Tube Laser Operator will collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
Duties
- Set up and operate Tube Laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency
- Perform proper maintenance/ repair of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments, such as calipers, to ensure accuracy
- Work with other Operator(s) and Shop Managers to ensure work orders are processed in accordance with daily production schedule
- Documenting and keeping accurate production and quality control Records of all finished work orders.
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions of drawings, blueprints, specifications and numerical dimensions and tolerances.
- Knowledgeable in different types of materials, grades, gauges, dimensions.
- Housekeeping to include the Tube Laser machine and shop area, as well as the organization of parts and materials
Skills
- Previous experience operating Tube Laser cutting machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC programming is considered an asset
- Strong application of CAD software and demonstrate a good understanding of Computers/ Technology
- Practical training in operating Trumpf Laser machines is considered an asset
- Strong mathematical applications and attention to detail
- Experience using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices
- Proficient reading blueprints, drawings and diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve are essential for success in this role
- Relevant fabrication and mechanical experience needed as well as knowledge of welding techniques and assembly process is beneficial
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Working Conditions:
- Must follow all OHSA and Company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity required
- Frequently noisy working environment
- Frequent overtime as required
- Able to remain standing for long periods of time
