Visual Inspector

MDS Coating is expanding and looking to add a determined detailed-oriented person to its team of Surface Evaluation Technicians - Visual Inspectors.
At MDS Coating, as a Surface Evaluation Technician - Visual Inspector you can expect to:
- Inspect: Inspectors are responsible for inspecting customer parts and ensuring they meet all identified requirements. A keen eye for detail will be instrumental in identifying any imperfections or defects.
- Adhere to Standards: Execute tasks according to established quality standards.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and authorize Certificates of Test, Test Reports and Certificates of Conformance.
- Document and Report: Maintain detailed records of inspections, providing clear and concise reports on findings. Insights will contribute to refining our processes and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
- Collaborate: Work with our team of engineers and scientists to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
- Innovate: Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify inefficiencies and work within MDS Coating’s culture of Continuous Improvement to make impactful change.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proven experience as a Visual Inspector or in a related role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Aerospace quality experience an asset
- Continuous improvement experience or Six Sigma certification an asset
- Ability to use Microsoft suite of products and a demonstrated ability to learn to use new computer software.
- The ability to effectively communicate and write in English is required.
