Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Junior CNC Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer specializing in custom glazing systems, glass enclosures, and architectural glass products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CNC Operator looking to develop their skills within a growing and innovative manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of CNC operating experience, working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, and experience using precision measuring instruments. Candidates must also be comfortable working a rotating day and afternoon shift schedule that changes every two weeks.
Schedule
Rotation every 2 weeks
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production specifications and work orders
- Read and interpret AutoCAD 2D drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tapes, vernier calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Load, position, and secure materials for machining operations
- Monitor machine performance and ensure products meet quality standards
- Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to 5S principles
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet daily production targets
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on CNC machine operating experience
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient with measuring instruments including:
- Measuring Tape
- Vernier Caliper
- Other basic inspection tools
- Strong understanding and commitment to 5S workplace practices
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Comfortable working a rotating day and afternoon shift schedule
