Estimator
AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.
We are seeking a qualified Cost Estimator with a minimum 2 years of experience. The successful candidate will have a junior level knowledge of Cost estimating, and should be familiar with estimating processes, software suites, and proposal creation.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Develops detailed cost estimates & budgetary pricing estimates for all bid projects.
- Work with sales team, and applications engineers to develop project requirements.
- Review of client bid packages, project specifications, and drawing packages
- Soliciting subcontractor and vendor quotations
- Creation and Maintenance of Estimating Database
- Proposal content creation
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Communicate with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Develop post award handover packages.
- Other duties related to estimating and project quoting.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of related experience, ideally with estimating in a manufacturing environment
- InEight experience is a plus.
- Post-secondary education in an Engineering, Construction, or Technical Discipline
- Experience with Water & Wastewater treatment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, Process drawings, and design drawings.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and pride in delivering high quality results
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Interest in continuous learning
