Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Elementary School Teacher for Grades 7-8 to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching middle school students, with the ability to foster a positive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth while working in a supportive school community. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for grades 7-8.
- Deliver instruction in core subjects such as Math, English, and other relevant areas.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations; provide constructive feedback.
- Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office and other computer applications to enhance learning experiences.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities, including those with disabilities or requiring special education support.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Support tutoring sessions and provide additional assistance to students needing extra help.
- Maintain organized records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Experience teaching or tutoring middle school students in grades 7-8 is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and computer skills necessary for integrating technology into lessons.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and organize lesson plans efficiently.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education programs is advantageous.
- Early childhood education background or experience working with young adolescents will be considered an asset.
Pay: $4,157.00 per month
