Central Bark Doggy Daycare & Grooming Spaw is looking for an experienced candidate to join our grooming team!
We are looking for someone who is organized, has great time management and level of professionalism. We offer one on one appointments to ensure all pups are taken care of correctly. Tub, tables, dryers, shampoo and towels are supplied. Online booking system through Gingr.
Position is commission based at 50% plus tips 100% tips. This is a contract position.
Requirements:
- 2 years in Salon experience
- Team Player
- Own grooming equipment (clippers, brushes, blades, scissors etc.)
- Ability to bath, dry, detangle, brush teeth, trim nails, express glands externally and any other regular grooming services as requested by the customer
- Ability to perform breed trims or pet trims
- Ability to identify common issues with skin/coat or overall health of the animal
- Ability to communicate with clients and staff in a professional manner
- Ability to lift 50-60lbs unassisted
- Ability to clean grooming area daily
- Ability to groom personal clientele
- Is comfortable using/learning the online booking program
- Is comfortable answering phone and booking appointments
- Able to work independently
- Each groomer has their own private room
Our ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge of animal behavior and overall health. Is able to groom large and small dogs alike. Always puts the health and wellness of the animal first. Pet First Aid is an asset.
Days available are Thursday-Saturday.
