Sherwood Park Eye Centre is looking to add a new full-time Optometric Assistant to our team! SPEC has been serving the Sherwood Park area for over 40 years, and with our patient first focus we pride ourselves on delivering the best experience we can offer, and we hope you share that same passion! Experience in the optical industry is an asset, but not required. In-office training will be available. Duties include, but are not limited to: :
- Collect patient health information over the phone and in person.
- Perform pre-examination testing including taking intra-occular pressures and wide angle retina scans.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Billing patients' insurance and Alberta Health Care.
- Maintain efficient patient flow through the pre-examination testing area and exam rooms.
- Participate in personal and team development training.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, leadership team, suppliers and the general public.
- Assist in pre-appointment frame selection
Sherwood Park Eye Centre is a locally owned optometry practice with a focus on building lasting relationships with our patients. Ideal candidates will share the same passion for teamwork and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Scheduled hours will include Monday to Friday with occasional saturdays.
