Who is a Nursing Clinic Scheduler?
As an integral part of the ParaMed team, the Nursing Clinic Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the scheduling of services between clinic nursing patients and Registered Nurses/Registered Practical Nurses based on the availability of staff, hours of work, scope and skill set. This coordinator ensures all change requests are completed in an efficient and timely manner. You will excel in this role when you foster and facilitate timely and accurate communication between our Clients and Employees.
What you’ll do?
Perform scheduling functions of matching registered nurses and registered practical nurses with patients based on availability, skill set or other factors as applicable.
Receive notification from regulated employees of factors affecting re-assignment of patients
Receive routine referral/intake information from the Ministry of Health
Assesses the capacity and appropriateness of Registered Nurses for assignment referring to service agreements and contracts, policies and procedures and the collective agreement (if applicable).
Enters all relevant Patient and employee information into the scheduling system
Produces schedules and reports on a regular basis
Communicates regularly with clients and/or family members, external partners and regulated care providers.
What you’ll bring to the table?
1-2 years of post-secondary education and 1-3 years of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in customer service
Experience in the health care field
Experience using a scheduling system such as Procura, Calipso, Goldcare
Strong proficiency in all aspects of Mirosoft office, with proven skills in Word and Excel
Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitasking skills and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, high demand environment
