The Role:
The Restore Associate enhances customer experience and upholds Habitat for Humanity Camrose's values. They maintain a positive attitude, deliver exceptional service, and collaborate with customers, employees, and volunteers to build supportive relationships. As an ambassador, they represent the organization with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Pick-up of donations
· Delivery of products purchased
· Ensure products are priced, clean, and assembled if needed before being placed on the sales floor.
· Prepare receiving area to facilitate the acceptance of incoming products.
· Receive and evaluate incoming products and shipments
· Conduct a thorough inspection of products to verify their saleable condition.
· Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
· Accurate and secure loading and unloading of shipments.
· Follow pricing guidelines and ensure products are priced competitively and fair to the Camrose Restore market.
· Ensure products put into storage are properly labelled with product name and quantities
· Follow all health and safety guidelines including wearing proper protective equipment.
· Follow safe operating procedures for forklift and pallet jacks.
· Manage inventory of supplies and surplus product by restocking items
· Stage product and place items on the sales floor
· Always maintain safe and clean work environment
· Any other duties as may be assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
· Warehouse experience is an asset.
· Effective planning and organisational skills.
· Takes considerable pride in completing a job with accuracy, proficiency, and effectiveness.
· Excellent problem solving, computer skills, and decision making.
· Prioritize effectively and communicate well with others.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast – paced environment.
· Certification in WHIMIS and First Aid an asset
· Forklift certified an asset
Physical Requirements:
· Capable of lifting 50 lbs (more when with a team member)
· Ability to spend majority of the day standing or moving around the store
