Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need of support in their daily lives. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
Experience
- Prior experience working in client's home is highly desirable
- Experience providing senior care or caring for individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies for managing cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Experience working in home care settings is essential
