The Warehouse Associate manually moves stock and other materials as well as performs general labor as needed related to the operations of the Warehouse.
Education/ Experience: High school diploma (or equivalency) plus at least 2 years of practical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Move stock or other materials to and from storage, production areas, loading docks and delivery vehicles by hand trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
- Support all shipping / receiving needs.
- Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
- Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
Detailed Work Activities:
- Clean facilities or work areas.
- Schedule pickup / shipment with various carriers.
- Load shipments, belongings, or materials.
- Mark materials or objects for identification.
- Monitor cargo area conditions.
- Move materials, equipment, or supplies.
- Operate packing or other material processing equipment.
- Package materials or products.
- Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
- Sort materials or objects for processing or transport.
Qualifications:
- Basic familiarity with office productivity software (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Web Browser, etc.)
- Successful candidates are resourceful individuals who will always be looking for opportunities to make processes more efficient.
- Ability to cooperate with others to give and receive information both verbally and in writing / via email.
- Ability to apply knowledge and work independently as needed.
