Job Summary
PFG Glass Industries is seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Langley manufacturing facility.
This full-time position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting a wide range of advanced automated manufacturing equipment and production systems. We are looking for an individual with strong mechanical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Previous glass industry experience is not required. Relevant experience with industrial machinery, automated manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, or other industrial maintenance environments is highly valued.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Maintenance Team and production departments to support equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Compensation & Shifts
$34.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
PFG offers three regular full-time shifts:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Plus 1.50 dollar per hour shift premium
- Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Plus 3.50 dollar hour shift premium

Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and production systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and related equipment issues.
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machinery, PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, servo systems, motors, sensors, and other automated equipment.
- Service and repair industrial components including pumps, valves, compressors, motors, cylinders, conveyors, hoists, bearings, and related mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
- Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and fine-tuning to maintain safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine lubrication, servicing, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Verify the proper operation of equipment safety systems following maintenance, modifications, or repairs.
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation using the company’s CMMS system.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Follow established safe work procedures, lockout requirements, and OSSE-certified safety program.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Production, and other departments to support safe and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, millwright work, or a related mechanical environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical troubleshooting ability.
- Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery, PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, motors, sensors, and automation controls.
- Practical knowledge of industrial components including pumps, valves, compressors, motors, cylinders, conveyors, bearings, and related systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Experience using CMMS software for preventative maintenance and work-order management is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a maintenance and production team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Red Seal Millwright certification is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong industrial maintenance experience, mechanical knowledge, and demonstrated troubleshooting ability will also be considered.
Previous experience in the glass industry is considered an asset but is not required.
Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour
