Motorola Solution's Video Division provides trusted security solutions to the global market. Motorola designs, develops, and manufactures video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Motorola's’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.
Plan, design, document and perform tests for software and hardware products
Develop, maintain and execute automated tests for software and hardware products
Design and develop tools or simulators to facilitate testing for software and hardware products
Design and implement to improve test automation infrastructure’s reliability, scalability, performance, and repeatability of setup and deployment
Validate necessary tools and test plans for conducting software testing and hardware testing
Setting up and configuring hardware for testing Motorola’s software product. Knowledge of PCB’s is beneficial
Identify, reproduce and report actual or potential product defects
Provide detailed configuration, reproduction steps, and descriptions for defect tracking
Assist product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures
Debug, model and characterize product performance and scalability
Create and maintain documentation on test and development operations
Liaise between several product development teams to ensure accuracy of process and product quality
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Ruby or another scripting or programming language
Configuration management, defect tracking, test plans, test protocols, and test execution
Strong knowledge with Docker and in CI/CD pipelines
Experience working within Raspberry Pi or Arduino
Experience in source control management tools
Experience testing in both Windows and Linux environments
Familiar with electrical circuitry design and assembly
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise documentation
Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently and work within a team
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience with access control, surveillance and security products
Demonstrated experience in software development including code repository and version control
Understanding of Networking, VM and Cloud technologies
1+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Ruby or another scripting or programming language
