Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen spaces, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support back-of-house operations by restocking supplies, organizing inventory, and assisting with food prep as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Experience in cashiering or cash handling roles is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation, upselling techniques, and restaurant operations
