About Flareguard
Flareguard Detection is a Canadian IoT technology company building the world's first massive-scale sensor grid network for real-time wildfire detection, forest health monitoring, and predictive fire analytics. Flareguard delivers data-as-a-service to landowners, enterprise clients, wildland firefighting organizations, and government agencies. With a rapidly growing global demand for wildfire solutions, we are preparing for our first major commercial deployments, market entry and funding round.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced CAD professional with Fusion expertise to join our technical team, supporting in translating our sensor and hardware concepts into production-ready designs. This is an opportunity to work directly with our founding engineers on the next generation of wildfire-detection hardware, contributing to purpose-driven technology that helps protect communities, forests, and lives.
The right candidate will thrive in an early-stage environment and enjoy moving between rapid prototyping and production-quality drawings.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for sensor units, enclosures, mounting hardware, and related components
- Translate engineering concepts and prototypes into manufacturing-ready drawings with proper GD&T, and bills of materials
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, prototype developers, and production staff to support iterative design refinement
- Support rapid prototyping efforts, including 3D printing, small-batch fabrication, and component fit-up reviews
- Maintain organized CAD libraries, revision control, and design documentation
- Contribute to design-for-manufacturing improvements as we scale toward injection molding and higher volume production
- Help build and refine internal CAD standards and drafting practices as the team grows
What We Are Looking For
Required
