Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.

Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.

We are currently seeking a casual Administrative Security Services Coordinator to work in downtown Vancouver, at two different locations that are about 5 minutes away from each other.

Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Operate proprietary card access management system and support system applications for the issuance and administration of passes
  • Operate Transport Canada-issued electronic Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) for the collection and submission of personal information, including fingerprints.
  • Assist individuals in completing applications for security clearances and passes
  • Receive, review and process passes and security applications (including requesting additional supporting information and/or documentation as required
  • Respond to and resolve security clearances and passes (including requesting additional supporting information and/or documentation as required)
  • Process the collection of fees on behalf of the client
  • Scan and file documents info the document management system
  • Create, review, and analyze electronic (system-generated) reports
  • Undertake other data entry and/or administrative related function functions as requested
You must also be flexible in working onsite from time to time as a Booth Guard and Traffic Flagger. These duties include: Patrolling, access control, flagging, staging, etc.

‘Must-Haves’

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, retail and/or security role
  • 5 years residence in Canada
  • Valid security license
  • Computer savvy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Proven ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different management levels
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the event of emergency
  • Successful completion of security clearance and criminal background check
