We are currently seeking a responsible, dependable, and security-minded individual or couple to join our team as a Live-In Security Caretaker.
This unique opportunity provides on-site accommodation in exchange for maintaining a visible presence on our property and assisting with after-hours security and site oversight.
Position Summary
The Live-In Security Caretaker will reside on-site and act as an after-hours presence to help monitor the property, deter unauthorized activity, and respond to emergencies or security concerns when required. This role is ideal for a mature, reliable individual who values a quiet living arrangement and can be available outside of regular business hours. No pets or smoking allowed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible on-site presence during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Monitor the property for suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the yard, buildings, gates, and perimeter.
- Respond appropriately to alarms, security concerns, or emergency situations.
- Contact emergency services, management, or designated personnel when necessary.
- Open and secure gates as directed.
- Monitor security camera systems and report concerns.
- Maintain a daily security log documenting incidents, observations, and activities.
- Assist management with basic property oversight and reporting.
- Ensure visitors, contractors, or after-hours personnel comply with company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, property management, law enforcement, military service, or a similar role is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and reliability.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills is an asset
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
