Do you take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming? We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Houseperson to join our team and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
Working behind the scenes, you'll play an important role in supporting the housekeeping and operations teams by ensuring guest areas, meeting spaces, public areas, and outdoor grounds are clean, tidy, and well maintained. From moving supplies and furniture to performing heavy cleaning and seasonal duties, you'll help create a safe and enjoyable experience for every guest.
What You'll Do
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented public areas, guest floors, and back-of-house spaces.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and deep cleaning.
- Assist with moving and setting up furniture, mattresses, linens, supplies, and equipment.
- Remove garbage and recycling, and maintain exterior areas through litter collection and general upkeep.
- Support seasonal groundskeeping, including snow and ice removal to ensure safe walkways and entrances.
- Replenish housekeeping supplies and assist with linen deliveries and operational needs.
- Support room attendants and other departments with projects and daily operations.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Perform additional duties and projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, labour, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to take on a variety of physical tasks.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or international equivalent) would be considered an asset.
