POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lead operational excellence, strengthen cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of high-quality cabinetry manufacturing at Westwood Fine Cabinetry. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can connect manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, installation, and service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
In this role, you will partner closely with the Manufacturing Operations Manager and other department leaders to improve production efficiency, reduce rework and warranty issues, strengthen scheduling reliability, and ensure our product moves smoothly from supplier to final installation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Partner with the Manufacturing Operations Manager to improve manufacturing performance, throughput, and workflow
- Ensure all products are delivered on time, complete, and meet company quality standards
- Drive accountability across all operational areas within scope
- Act as a key operational bridge between manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse, and installation teams
Manufacturing Performance & Improvement
- Identify and reduce rework, deficiencies, warranty claims, and expedite requirements
- Improve production flow, scheduling coordination, and bottleneck management
- Support and implement lean manufacturing principles where applicable
- Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
Scheduling & Delivery Execution
- Oversee coordination between production schedules, material availability, and installation timelines
- Ensure alignment between manufacturing output, warehouse readiness, and installation/service scheduling
- Drive improvements in lead times, predictability, and schedule reliability
Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Provide oversight of the Purchasing Department in partnership with the Purchasing Manager
- Ensure purchasing activities align with production requirements and schedules
- Support improvements in supplier performance, material availability and timelines, cost control and consistency
- Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality or supply issues when required
Warehouse & Logistics Oversight
- Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure:
- Accurate order picking and staging
- Efficient shipping and logistics processes
- Reduced errors and damages
- Improve warehouse flow, organization, and accountability
Installation & Service
- Provide leadership and oversight through Installation and Service managers
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and fully finished, service items are tracked and resolved efficiently
- Reduce callbacks and improve customer satisfaction through better upstream coordination
Quality, Warranty & Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to reduce warranty claims, service calls and internal deficiencies
- Establish and track key operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, rework rates, warranty and service metrics as well as efficiency and productivity
- Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Team Leadership & Culture
- Support department leadership across Purchasing, Warehouse, and Installation/Service
- Working with the Director of Operations, implement clear accountability lines while maintaining strong team alignment
- Foster a team-first, solution-oriented environment
- Encourage proactive problem-solving and cross-functional communication
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Human Resources and Operations teams
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 7+ years of experience in operations or manufacturing leadership
- Proven ability to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and deliver measurable results
- Experience leading through managers and coordinating multiple departments
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems in dynamic environments
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in cabinetry, millwork, or woodworking manufacturing
- Experience in custom or semi-custom production environments
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Understanding of machinery, shop processes, and production workflows

Compensation for this role is offered within a range that reflects the candidate’s skills, experience, and overall qualifications.
