Mission Villas Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented individual to join our Community Care Services team as a Community Care Assistant. We offer stable, year-round employment in our beautiful 51-unit retirement community located in the Lower Mission of Kelowna. This position consists primarily of evening shifts, with occasional daytime shifts available as needed.

The Community Care Assistant works within our community to provide residents with a variety of requested services, including meal service, companionship and recreational activities, valet parking, basic assistance with daily needs, and general support requests, all within an independent living model. This role also includes light housekeeping duties in resident suites and common areas to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing friendly and attentive service to residents
- Assisting with dinner service and evening resident requests
- Offering companionship and facilitating activities
- Valet parking and transportation assistance as required
- Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident suites, common areas, laundry assistance, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the community
- Supporting evening operations and resident well-being
- Working collaboratively with the Community Care Services team to ensure exceptional resident experiences
We are seeking candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented approach. The ideal candidate is patient, friendly, detail-oriented, and possesses strong problem-solving abilities.
Previous experience in hospitality, retirement living, housekeeping, customer service, or caregiving is considered an asset but is not required. Wage is negotiable based on experience. A benefits plan is available upon successful completion of the three-month probationary period.
A criminal record check, driver's abstract, and valid Basic First Aid certification are required.
