Job Overview
We are seeking a part time/casual dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks as needed
- Conduct basic facilities maintenance to ensure equipment and fixtures are in good working order
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleaning schedules to ensure timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Use effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and address client requests or concerns
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards and are safe for occupants
Qualifications
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation may be necessary depending on work location
