Sunny Senior Services is a family-founded, non-medical in-home support company helping seniors stay independent, safe, and connected at home. We're growing our Abbotsford presence and looking for our first dedicated Abbotsford team member.
About the Role
This is a part-time role, currently 4 hours/week (Mon 10-11am, Tue 10-11:30am, Thu 10-11:30am), supporting one client with light housekeeping and meal preparation. We're actively growing our Abbotsford client base, and hours are expected to increase as we add clients in your area, but there's no fixed timeline for that growth. This role suits someone who already has other part-time work, is semi-retired, or wants flexible morning hours rather than someone needing this as primary income right now.
Responsibilities
- Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry)
- Meal preparation and clean-up
- Companionship and conversation during visits
Qualifications
- Must live in or very near Abbotsford
- Reliable and punctual - consistent morning availability required
- Comfortable undergoing a criminal record / vulnerable sector check
- Warm, patient, genuinely enjoys spending time with seniors
- Caregiving experience an asset but not required
Compensation
$25/hour
