GrainCorp operates in Canada as GrainCorp Malt (the fourth largest maltster in the world) and as GrainCorp Grains. Through a strategic joint venture with Zen-Noh Grain Corporation, GrainCorp Grains has established and continue to build on a fully-integrated supply chain that connects GrainCorp’s origination operations with the existing global demand of both companies.

GrainCorp Grains’ trading office plays a crucial role in supporting our joint venture, managing the origination process into the supply chain, with new delivery points strategically positioned to best service the grain producing regions of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

About the role
As a Logistics and Administration Coordinator you will be a critical link between local grain growers and Canada’s most efficient supply chain. Working closely with the Merchant and Operational teams you will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with local growers in and around Vegreville. The responsibilities will also include:

Manage and administer contracts and ensure their cost-effective execution within the specified terms
Liaise with growers and service providers (freight contractors) to facilitate inbound logistics
Produce invoices for customer and suppliers
Managing trading software system and maintenance of data in system including confirmations, filing and archiving

About your experience
Candidates will ideally have prior logistics experience (Road and Rail) in agriculture or a similar industry, with a focus on integrity and a strong work ethic – important traits that will support you to build and deepen grower and stakeholder relationships.Further experience will include:

Ability to build rapport with growers
Strong planning and problem-solving skills with an understanding of configuration
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel)
