As we continue to grow our research operations at Humber River Hospital, we are seeking a Part-time Research Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Research
Hourly Salary: $29.76 - $31.62
Availability: 30 hours per week from Monday – Friday (subject to change); some weekend work may be required.
Union: Non Union
Collaborate with the Primary Investigator (PI), co-Investigators, physicians and multidisciplinary health care team to recruit study participants (e.g. identify and screen potential participants; obtain informed consent; conduct pre-testing)
Plan, implement, and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation as per hospital policy and industry guidelines. Responsible for data entry using study databases
Prepare and distribute status update reports showing study progress
Review, identify, and escalate adverse events to PI/co-Investigator
Execute study-related administrative tasks (e.g. collect regulatory documents, ethics submissions, etc.); act as central point of communication for study management; manage specimen collection, processing and shipping
Coordinate patient visit schedules as per study protocol; execute all aspects of study visit (e.g. assessment; documentation of adverse events and medications; administer questionnaires; sample collection, including venipuncture; process and ship samples)
Prepare for study monitor visits, liaise with study monitors and work to resolve outstanding issues/problems in a timely manner
Ensure all documentation and files are audit-ready and assist with preparing for audits
Maintain all regulatory files and essential documents for research studies
Undergraduate degree in health or science-related field required
Prior completion of a suitable Phlebotomy course is an asset, and will be required prior to employment
Research Coordinator Certification preferred
Certification in clinical research (ACRP or SoCRA) preferred
3 years of research coordination required
Minimum 1 year of clinical research required
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.) required
Strong interpersonal, diplomacy and customer service skills required
Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP, Tri-council Policy, FDA CFR and Health Canada required.
Knowledge of International Air Transportation Authority (IATA) shipping regulations relating to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) preferred.
