Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Acts as BMR’s prime point-of-contact for security incidents and other security-related issues.
Works with subject matter experts from vendors such as Motorola, Kenwood, Zetron\Acom, Genesis, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Airbus and Avtec to assess and develop mitigation measures to ensure that appropriate security treatment and configuration hardening is applied, and ensure that customers are informed.
Liaises with Bell Corporate Security to ensure BMR compliance with corporate security standards.
Represents BMR on the Change Advisory Board.
Works with BMR teams at the national level to facilitate knowledge sharing and co-operation on security threats and concerns.
Reviews and interprets security alerts and provide diagnostics in the management of incidents to support customers.
Leading vulnerability scanning and threat risk analysis initiatives.
Network security design and architecture.
Provides general guidance and recommendations on security best practices.
Provides technical advice to management, client delivery services, and project managers.
Assesses features, functionality and operational requirements in a lab / staging environment to advise customers on the potential adoption of specific technologies.
Pro-actively researches industry and vendor sources on security vulnerabilities.
Provide ongoing BMR risk posture assessments by leveraging vulnerability scan results, exception reports and current cyber risk landscape.
Administers group policy, user accounts, passwords and access control lists.

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
Completion of University or College program in Computer Science or Engineering; or 5 years of equivalent.
Experience in troubleshooting security solutions including authentication capabilities, authorization, and encryption as well as securing devices access.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Juniper and Cisco networking equipment.
Familiar with management security consoles, intrusion detection and prevention, and virtual private networks.
Experience in SOC integration, including Syslog and username management.
Previous experience with enterprise-wide OS deployment.
Previous experience with enterprise-wide anti-virus deployment and management.
Industry experience in the information systems field.
Ability to work under pressure, required during incidents.
Ability to interpret vulnerability scan reports and mitigate risks
Good communication skills, self-starter with excellent organization and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
Knowledge of security information events management.
Hands-on security certifications from major vendors.
Cellular and radio network specific security experience.
CISSP Preferred.
Good communication skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to business managers.
Ability to mentor less experienced staff through a security solution.
Demonstrated experience managing and troubleshooting security services.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
