Our client is building an ambitious sports and entertainment organization bringing together businesses across professional sports, live entertainment, hospitality, events, food and beverage, and venue operations.
Based in Regina, the organization is developing a major entertainment and hospitality platform with significant ownership backing and long-term plans for growth beyond Saskatchewan. This newly created executive position offers the opportunity to join at a foundational stage, shape the commercial direction of the organization, and build a diversified revenue strategy across an expanding portfolio of assets.
This is an on-site executive leadership role based in Regina. Candidates currently located outside the region must be prepared to relocate to Regina as a condition of accepting the position.
As the Senior Vice President of Revenue, you will lead the overall commercial and revenue strategy across the organization while helping shape its long-term growth, profitability, and market presence.
Develop and execute the overall commercial and revenue strategy across sports, entertainment, hospitality, events, and venue operations.
Take a leadership role in P&L performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue across multiple business units.
Develop scalable commercial strategies that support both near-term performance and long-term organizational growth.
Identify new revenue streams and opportunities to maximize the commercial value of existing and future assets.
Lead sales strategy and commercial development across the organization.
Build high-value partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic relationships that create sustainable revenue opportunities.
Leverage industry relationships and professional networks to attract events, partnerships, and other commercial opportunities.
Establish strong relationships with customers, partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders.
Develop strategies to increase utilization and monetization of event and hospitality spaces.
Build recurring event activity and identify opportunities to generate additional revenue across venue assets.
Support commercial opportunities across live events, food and beverage, merchandise, entertainment programming, and hospitality.
Work collaboratively across business units to maximize the revenue potential of the organization's venues and assets.
Provide executive oversight across marketing, partnerships, programming and events, and merchandise.
Ensure commercial and marketing initiatives align with broader organizational and revenue objectives.
Establish clear commercial priorities, processes, and performance expectations across the organization.
Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and report directly to the CEO.
Help build the commercial structure, strategy, and processes of a newly developing organization.
Build strong relationships with ownership, senior executives, business leaders, and external stakeholders.
Provide leadership in an entrepreneurial environment where new teams, businesses, and processes are continuing to evolve.
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
Significant senior leadership experience within sports, entertainment, hospitality, venues, or another complex revenue-driven organization.
Executive-level experience at the VP, SVP, CRO, President, CEO, or equivalent level.
Proven success developing and executing commercial and revenue growth strategies.
Sports industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly within professional hockey or another major sports organization.
Senior hospitality, hotel, entertainment, or venue leadership experience will also be considered.
Experience monetizing venues, event spaces, partnerships, sponsorships, or other commercial assets.
Strong understanding of revenue strategy, P&L management, forecasting, commercial planning, and business development.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple revenue streams and commercial functions.
Strong knowledge of partnership development, sponsorships, strategic sales, and event commercialization.
Ability to evaluate commercial opportunities and develop strategies that improve revenue and profitability.
Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new functions and initiatives from the ground up.
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with the ability to operate at the executive level.
Commercially driven with the ability to balance long-term strategy with execution and measurable results.
Comfortable operating within a fast-moving organization undergoing significant growth and transformation.
Must be willing and able to relocate to Regina, Saskatchewan. This position is not remote and relocation is required.
