Grande Cache Inn and Suites is seeking an experienced, hands-on Line Cook for the Smoky River Grill. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, with strong customer service skills.
Duties:
- Prepare food to order to the highest quality standards.
- Inventory control and food ordering to ensure food costs targets are achieved and wastage is minimized.
- Ensure the kitchen facility is organized, clean, sanitary and in good working order.
- Maintain and arrange service for all kitchen equipment.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Be a team player, assisting in the Front of the House when needed.
- Other duties as required by management.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- At least 2 years of culinary work experience in a full-service establishment is required.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively with a team.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
- Communication and leadership skills.
Required licenses, certificates, and registrations:
- Food safe certification.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Valid WHIS certificate is required.
