DZ Driver / Loader – Waste & Recycling

We are currently seeking experienced DZ Driver / Loaders to join our team in Orangeville.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and previous waste and recycling experience. Candidates must be comfortable performing both driving and loading duties while working in all weather conditions.
What We're Looking For
We are specifically seeking candidates with previous waste and recycling industry experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience operating:
Manual Side Load Collection Trucks (Preferred)
Automated Side Load Collection Trucks
Rear Load Collection Trucks
Candidates with experience operating any of the above equipment are encouraged to apply; however, experience with manual side load collection vehicles will be considered a significant asset.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a DZ collection vehicle on assigned routes
- Perform loading duties as required
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service while servicing residential routes
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Assist with route completion and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid DZ Driver's Licence
- Clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR
- Previous waste and recycling experience is required
- Experience operating Manual Side Load, Automated Side Load, or Rear Load collection trucks
- Strong knowledge of residential collection routes and safe driving practices
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have direct experience within the waste and recycling industry and understand the pace, physical demands, and responsibilities associated with residential collection. We are looking for someone who shows up every day, works hard, prioritizes safety, and takes pride in providing excellent service.
