Its flagship mobile app ‘theScore’ is one of the most popular multi-sport news and data apps in North America, serving millions of fans a month. The Company also creates innovative digital sports experiences through its web, social, and esports platforms, and will be launching a mobile sportsbook in the United States in 2019.

We’re looking for a full-time sports betting enthusiast with the writing chops and experience to deliver informative, entertaining, and actionable content to a passionate community of sports fans. The ideal candidate knows the ‘Big Four’ inside and out, and ideally possess intricate knowledge of additional niche sports. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be creative, organized, responsible, a proven self-starter and someone who excels in a collaborative environment.

Typical Work Day at theScore:
Write and edit sports betting articles as assigned.
Craft and deliver push alerts around betting content.
Pitch and ideate stories and concepts for future events.
Actively partake in team meetings around strategy and game-planning.
Contribute to a daily email newsletter focused on sports betting.
Contribute to the development, production, and content requirements for multimedia projects.
Represent theScore as a sport betting expert across social and traditional media.
Other duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
Unassailable knowledge of North American sports and sports wagering.
Experience with a variety of social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Experienced writer with impeccable attention to detail.
A comprehensive understanding of the sports betting content industry landscape.
Thorough understanding of theScore, its brand, history and industry standing.

Nice to haves:
Previous experience in digital media.
Experience on camera, on air and/or with a previous podcast.
Established relationships with bookmakers, sportsbooks, and/or other industry insiders.
