Cloverdale Village Early Learning Centre is seeking passionate, caring, and reliable Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and Infant & Toddler Educators (ITE) to join our growing team. We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.
Our centre is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive through meaningful play and exploration. We are looking for educators who are enthusiastic about supporting children's development while working collaboratively with a supportive team.
Compensation
- Basic ECE: Starting at $19.00/hour + ECE Wage Enhancement
- ITE: Starting at $21.00/hour + ECE Wage Enhancement
- Starting wages are negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring, and positive learning environment for children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and individual needs.
- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through daily routines and meaningful interactions.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Observe and document children's learning and development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets all licensing requirements.
- Follow all BC Child Care Licensing Regulations, health and safety procedures, and centre policies.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to support daily classroom operations.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, dressing, outdoor play, and rest time.
Qualifications
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate or BC Infant & Toddler Educator (ITE) Certificate.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Current Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of child development and responsive caregiving practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, patient, organized, and positive.
- Passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry children when required.
- Able to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced childcare environment while maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere.
