Higher Ground Health Club is looking for a great Administrator for it's Front Desk and Clinic to help us run the best Health Club in the country.
Who are we?
Higher Ground was founded in May 2022. Our concept is to integrate sport medicine with a fully built fitness centre. We are here to create Canada's BEST movement as medicine centre: a true HEALTH CLUB. We have a beautiful 40,000 sq ft facility at the corner of Yonge and College in downtown Toronto. Our Clinic boasts Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, and our very own Sport Medicine Physician. The Fitness floor has a turf area, countless cardio pieces, a massive weight room and three separate studios. And if you just want to catch your breath we have a sauna, a steam room, a lounge and a cafe to get a coffee or a smoothie.

The Job:
- To act as host/hostess to our front desk,
- To make sure that every member & patient has the best experience possible,
- To manage/handle daily administration,
- To handle Insurance Accounts for MVA patients,
- To support Fitness services and the daily running of the facility.
- To have fun, and make sure everyone else around is too.
This Position
The title of this position is "Special Accounts Manager." While everyone at Higher Ground is expected to help where ever need be, this role will focus on supporting clinic patients and those on insurance plans in particular. The role will be roughly full time (32-40 hrs). The holder of this position will need to be available on site for a 6-8hour shift 5days a week primarily on the weekdays. Starting shift times may vary between 9 and 12noon.
The ideal Candidate:
- Has experience dealing with clinic insurance billing and ideally has experience with HCAI and MVA billing in particular.
- Has a positive relationship with fitness and health care
- Has at least a college diploma or degree in a related field
- Can commit to at least a year of growth and development
Requirements (don't apply unless this is you)
- Must be able to get to the Yonge/College area consistently without the use of a car within 45mins.
- Must either have a post secondary diploma or degree
- Must be available to work 5 days a week, and be comfortable staying as late as 8pm occasionally
- Must be a great communicator in English.
Compensation:
Starting rate: $19-$25/hr depending on experience and education. If you are new to the role and require training and learning, expect to start between $19-$22/hr. Once you are able to handle all the accounts and tasks completely with minimal supervision and demonstrate some confidence, you can expect a rate of $23-$25/hr.
