Collections Coordinator (3-month Full-Time Temporary Position - onsite position)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Coordinator to join our team in a 3-month full-time temporary position. This role will manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. This role demands excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: This is a temporary full-time position, 40 hours/week, working in the office for a period of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contacting clients to remind them of loan due dates and advise them on minimum payment requirements
- Negotiating payment plans and timelines with clients
- Monitoring loan receivable aging and prioritizing collections efforts
- Maintaining accurate records of communications and payment status
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve statement and payment discrepancies
- Generating reports on collection activities and outstanding debts
- Ensuring compliance with program guidelines and administrator policies
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in collections
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting software
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of loan terms and collection techniques is an asset
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
What we offer:
- $19-$21 per hour (plus 6% vacation pay paid out each pay period)
