Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient General Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, customer relations, and hospitality within a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, utensils, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries professionally, ensuring high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with serving, upselling, cashiering, or hospitality roles is desirable
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is beneficial but not required
