Responsibilities:
- Teach small group classes and private lessons to students in grades 9-12, focusing on Chemistry, and Biology ( both subjects required).
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to students’ academic levels and learning needs.
- Provide clear explanations of challenging topics, including but not limited to algebra, calculus, mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and biological systems.
- Prepare students for exams, including standardized tests and advanced assessments in science and math subjects.
- Use engaging and interactive teaching methods to enhance students’ problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding.
- Provide regular feedback and guidance to support students' academic growth.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and academic achievement.
Requirements:
- Strong subject knowledge: Proficiency in Chemistry, and Biology (both subjects required), with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Degree in a relevant field: Must hold a degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with high school curriculum: Familiarity with the grade 9-12 curriculum and the ability to prepare students for advanced assessments and exams.
- Caring and patient: Must enjoy working with high school students and be committed to their academic and personal development.
- Class management skills: Strong classroom management skills are essential to create a structured and productive learning environment in both small group and private lesson settings.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to new teaching methods, tools, and changing academic requirements.
- Team player: Willing to collaborate with other teachers and staff, and be flexible to assist with additional teaching responsibilities as needed.
- Previous teaching experience in high school Math and Science subjects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
