Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to a individual in their home The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being and possess relevant experience in senior care, hospice, or working with individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care that includes medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety for both clients and staff
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Follow all safety protocols related to infection control, medication handling, and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support safely
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Certification in medication administration or caregiving is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if necessary
- Prior experience in caregiving roles demonstrates a commitment to providing compassionate support
