Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that customers have a pleasant experience from start to finish. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience for guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and kitchen equipment by following proper sanitation practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Strong upselling skills to enhance guest experiences.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
